At the Annual Meeting 2017 Razom for Ukraine provided a third grant to the Support Hospitals in Ukraine project, which will finalize the delivery of the fourth container of medical equipment to Ukrainian hospitals in need. This last, third grant from Razom summed up to the total financial support of $23,000. We are proud to partner up with and support the project with such a noble mission – “Provide hospitals in Ukraine with the much-needed medical equipment and supplies”.

Razom helped bring twenty artists to Galicia Cult: a cultural festival in Kharkiv 2016

Razom is happy to announce that with the support of our donors and volunteers we were able to sponsor the transportation of 20 artists participating in the Galicia Cult festival in Kharkiv that ran Oct. 2-18, 2016.

 

Galicia Cult is a multidisciplinary social-cultural forum that aims to introduce eastern Ukrainians to modern western-Ukrainian culture. Besides promoting a cultural exchange, the forum also intends to break common stereotypes in both the east and the west.

Getting the Historical Truth with Kipiani in Columbia

Razom hosted a discussion at Columbia University with Vakhtang Kipiani on November 19th at the university student center. Current undergraduate and graduate students joined activists and volunteers for a two-hour discussion about how history affects the future, especially in the time of war and decommunization. Lyuba Shipovich and Dora Chomiak moderated the conversation with Kipiani, who was visiting from Ukraine.

What Hromadske Radio learned in 7 days in the US

Hromadske Radio spent a week in New York City and Washington, DC to connect with their US counterparts in public radio. Razom volunteers arranged the program and hosted the team, and the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv awarded Hromadske Radio a travel grant.

Supporting Hospitals in Ukraine

Razom has provided a $3,000 grant to the Support Hospitals in Ukraine project. The project is committed to raise $100,000 to send five 40-foot containers to Ukrainian hospitals in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and other areas in need. Five containers will equate to more than $2 million worth of medical equipment and supplies that are specifically requested by hospitals in Ukraine.

Partnering with “My City”: a platform for social change

As part of our Razom Partners initiative, we are excited to partner with “Moy Gorod”, a marketplace of social projects and civic activists. “Moy Gorod” is an online platform in Odessa, Ukraine that gets citizens to create and implement projects to make their city more livable. Together we can better spread the word about this online crowdfunding and collaboration platform that citizens are currently using to make their city cleaner, to improve the look of city street through an art project of converting phone booths into elaborate painting, to find a systematic solution for the problem of stray animals, and much more.
