A conversation with the new CEO of Hromadske TV

In May we got to sit down with the new CEO of Hromadske TV and have a conversation about the question ‘What is worth doing to support Ukraine?’ Razom came together to support Maidan. Now we work with volunteers around the world on projects that amplify the voices of people from Ukraine and that increase civic engagement. We do not have a specific project with Hromadske TV, but we were glad to have the chance to talk with someone who is leading an institution that also sprung from the street protests in 2013.

Helsinki Commission Briefing on Human Rights Violations in Crimea

On December 11, 2015 VOLYA Institute for Contemporary Law and Society (Ivanna Bilych, Svitlana Krasynska, Bohdan Pechenyak) and Razom for Ukraine with the moderator Orest Deychakiwsky from the U.S. Helsinki Commission together with guest speakers from Ukraine Andrii Klymenko, Богдан Яременко, and Юрій Яценко, held a briefing in the U.S. Congress on human rights violations in Russian occupied Crimea.

Crimea Human Rights Report to be presented at United Nations and U.S. Congress

New York, NY, November 30, 2015 – In the spring of 2015, an international team of lawyers, with the support and endorsement of the New York University School of Law, prepared a human rights report entitled “Human Rights in Occupied Territory: Case of Crimea,” issued in June 2015 under the auspices of the Ukrainian-American nonprofit organization Razom, Inc. The report analyzes the current human rights situation in Crimea, and provides recommendations on how to address the situation to local and regional governments, international community, civil society and media, and the population of Crimea.
