Razom IT came to Dnipro, Ukraine on Thursday July 21, 2016 for the first Razom IT event outside of New York City. It was a discussion with Andrey Akselrod (a Dnipro-native) co-founder and CTO of Smartling, a NYC-based startup, about his American experience, US/UA differences in IT and startups, what Andrey has learned since the start, and how Ukrainian entrepreneurs can be competitive on the international stage.
Over 60 people came together at the co-working space, Spalach, for the event. Anya Sobolevs’ka, a Razom volunteer, started the conversation by giving an overview of Razom projects in Ukraine and in the US, including a recap of the Razom IT Trip. (You can read her slides here 2016-07-21 Razom Overview for Dnipro event ) Andrey shared what he wants Ukrainian founders to include in their company pitches and Eugene Vyborov, CTO of YayPay tried his hand at pitching his company.
The purpose of the Razom IT events is to make connections between people who are interested in tech and in Ukraine so that the tech entrepreneur ecosystem will be stronger and more productive. We look forward to getting together with people in Dnipro again soon, both in person as well as by sharing streams of events in NYC and around the world.
Razom IT presents: Dnipro Edition was made possible by the work of Razom volunteers.
