Join Razom for a conversation with Tim Mak, a renowned journalist and the founder of The Counteroffensive, a twice-weekly journalism publication that focuses on deeply reported human interest stories to tell the news of the war against Ukraine. The conversation with Tim will explore the challenges of reporting on the Russian invasion of Ukraine during a time of informational “war fatigue.” Tim will also share his experience of building an independent media outlet and a strong community around it.

About Tim Mak

A former correspondent for NPR, The Daily Beast and Politico, Tim moved to Kyiv after the full-scale invasion to continue covering the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He’s a former U.S. Army combat medic, serving as a soldier in the West Virginia Army National Guard for five years, and the author of ‘Misfire’ – a book on the inner workings of the National Rifle Association.
